FlowTone Biography
Flowtone is a Chicago-based group that infuses a soulful sentiment into the alternative playground. Atmospheric and orchestral, their mixture of rock tones accompany diary-like entries that aim to breed connection.
Leading band members Nissim Torres (vocals & guitar), Sean Perez (bass & vocals), and Chucky Bowen (drums) came together over inspiration from esteemed bands like Arctic Monkeys, Alabama Shakes, and Muse. From their very first release in 2017, they've strived to create a sound that resonates deeply with fans of alternative, experimental, and indie rock.
On the heels of a successful crowdfunding campaign, their debut album, Within Reach [Released Jan 5, 2024] was made possible, underscoring their connection and dedication to their fans. In the album's single, Eats Me Alive they demonstrate their ability to convey deep emotional states through powerful vocals and dynamic instrumentals.
Flowtone continues to play festivals and has their sights set on an upcoming tour in 2024. Their live video submission for this year's NPR Tiny Desk Contest showcases their current lineup, of which Jazz saxophonist Nathan Carman and Keyboardist, Michal Lupa has been added, creating a sonic richness to their live shows.
