Blackpool

Blackpool was an acoustic electric folk roots trio from the Westerose Alberta area. Singer songwriters Bob Kochan and Trevor Payne had played together in various folk funk and blues projects for over 20 years. They were joined by friend, neighbour and mandolin player Ernie Miciak who brought with him a history of experience having played in many successful line-ups throughout the prairies. These boys liked digging into rhythmic roots grooves just as much as they loved getting steeped in heartfelt and harmonic folk narratives. Blackpool was a folk roots trio from Westerose Alberta Canada.
