Armand Biography
Now for the “I had someone write an official bio” bio...
Armand paints emotional heart-on-sleeve lyrics on a canvas of acoustic songs. His catchy guitar hooks and lyrical melodies bold themselves amongst other songwriters through a unique blend of instrumentations, and his live performances only serve to enhance his recordings, rounding out the full potential of this independent artist.
Spending 2006 to establish himself as a solo performer and creating a strong, passionate, and dedicated fanbase, Armand recorded his first full-length solo album “Apologies & Goodbyes” in early 2007. His creativity and influences on his debut reflect his personality, offering an insight into every aspect he’s capable of revealing, giving every listener something different.
He soon set out on a cross-country tour promoting “Apologies & Goodbyes”, performing to sold-out venues while providing opening support to some of his favourite artists and friends.
Through "Apologies & Goodbyes", which was well received by local media combined with a promotion of shows, radio appearances, and interviews, Armand was awarded Best New Artist of the Year in 2007 by the Brampton Arts Council in his hometown.
After a period of working on various music other projects (15 Minutes, Saving Fiction), followed by a 3-year hiatus from music, Armand finally returned to his acoustic roots, spending early 2013 writing new songs and reworking old material resulting in his self-recorded sophomore LP - “The Basement Demos”.
With heavy promotion and tour planning ahead, 2013 and beyond look nothing but promising to Armand and his ongoing effort to create and perform the music he loves for the people he loves even more.
