About this concert
The Greenfields Festival is a three day music festival taking place in the heart of Athy town centre on the 10 acre Abbeylands green site on the bands on the Barrow. Taking place the May Bank Holiday weekend 3rd to 5th May 2024. Enjoy a feast of music from all genres over the three days plus great food, drinks and craic. The Greenfields Festival is a family friendly festival with admittance for all age groups including a teen ticket and free admission for under 12's.

Sharon Shannon Biography
Sharon Shannon is an Irish musician from the village of Ruan in County Clare. She is best known for her work with the button accordion and her violin fiddle technique, but has also played the tin whistle.
Sharon Shannon is going on tour with the Magners Irish Sessions. A series of gigs celebrating the Irish tradition of spontaneous music. Each night in a different UK city, Irish legends Sharon Shannon, Mundy and Damien Dempsey will take to the stage with a selection of their closest friends and fire the place up for a classic Irish session.
