Cloudcage

Five years before he became one of the most exciting rising stars in the chill electronica space, a blood cancer diagnosis in his senior year of high school made Boston-based producer & songwriter Ben Lepper unsure of how much time he had left. But, what he was sure of was that life was too short for him to not make the music he loved to listen to. He switched out gritty and energetic basslines for uplifting progressions and beautiful ambiences and built the Cloudcage project from the ground up, inspired by the feeling of staying positive while everything falls apart. His debut EP 31519, which was mostly finalized while he was undergoing intense chemotherapy, shows that perfectly.

In 2023, Cloudcage saw a breakout year, with acclaimed releases on Monstercat Silk, Enhanced Chill, Intact Records, Synth Collective, and many more. His work has garnered the support of industry titans such as BT, Tritonal, Shingo Nakamura, and ATTLAS, and his work has received extensive radio airtime on SiriusXM Chill.

Fans of the young producer can look forward to another large year in 2024 with several projects slated to release in the first half of the year, as well as numerous exciting collaborations in progress. If there's one thing we know about Cloudcage, it is that he can't and won't be stopped by anything, and his future could not be brighter.
