About this concert
Like a mini, subgenre-swiveled version of the crazy pile-on $uicideboy$ lineup Austin saw at the Moody Center last year, five artists in the trap metal realm align for their Planet of the A.P.E. Tour across Texas. Austin-based band Notions, fixtures of Riverside’s Come & Take It, continue their exploration of cloud rap and nu-metalcore – reenvisioning early Slipknot and Korn influence under current R&B sensibilities. Cincinnati rap rocker Yung Mo$h co-headlines, while Dizasterpiece, HateWaker, the After Dark Society, and Release the Captive add to the sinister bill. – Rachel Rascoe

Dizasterpiece Biography
Covered in tattoos, and usually sporting a band shirt from early 2000’s hardcore scene, DIZASTERPIECE is a passionate, creative, realism driven lyricist and Hip-Hop Emcee from New Jersey, with strong roots in the punk and hardcore community. Unlike typical rappers or hip hop artists, who usually take the path of creating endless freestyle mixtapes, Dizasterpiece took the unconventional route, treating this project like every other punk/metal band he was in growing up. He recorded a record, began booking shows, and touring independently, playing rap shows, metal/ hardcore, and indie rock shows, while gaining momentum on his own which led to landing gigs with notable artists such as IMMORTAL TECHNIQUE, PETE ROCK & CL SMOOTH, RAKIM, R.A. THE RUGGED MAN, CHRIS RIVERS, CAGE, and more just in the last two years."
Currently recording his follow up album, we are booking some promotional dates to push the upcoming release, called “Regression Toward The Mean.” Dizasterpiece will be performing with a live drummer and bassist; which adds a cool, heavier influenced version of the new material. While we are trying to pair Dizasterpiece with other local hip hop artists, metalcore/hardcore/screamo/pop punk/ alternative/post rock genre bands and snow lineups can work just as well, Dizasterpiece typically does very well in those scenarios, because of his background and love for those genres. Mixed genre shows hit home Dizasterpiece and his crew do to the fusion of diverse influences mixed into everything from the sound, to the energy in the live stage presence. Extensive touring with chaotic live shows that are very intimate between Diz, and his crowds are what really has been the bred and butter of accumulating devoted, cult-like fans, and an extremely, diverse (age/gender/race/music scene) and united demographic.
