Surgeon is a 4 piece Blackened Epic Metal band from Philadelphia they combine elements of classic metal with modern dissonance to create an eclectic mix of razor tight auditory darkness.

Surgeon consisting of Lydia Giordano on Guitar (Hivelords) Sean Bolton on Bass and Vocals, JT Wieme on Drums (Tungsten) and Josh Mustin on Guitar.

Surgeon released their 3rd album "Beast of light" Aug 30th 2016. Beast of light was recorded by the band at their studio (The shred shed) in Philadelphia and then mixed and mastered and produced by Kevin Antreassian (Guitarist at Dillinger Escape Plan) at Backroom Studios. The band had worked with Kevin on their previous release Chemical Reign.

The new album blends a new diversity of darkness into in the the mix of the bands classic sound. Influences such as death and black metal color the new record in a way that Surgeon has never touched on before. The blend creates a completely new brand of evil that is truly unique.

Immediately supporting the record Surgeon went on tour supporting Master on the Epiphany of Hate tour From 8/30 to 9/10 Spanning from NYC to California and ending at The Shadow Woods Metal Fest in White hall MD.
The band later toured in fall in support of the album with a more midwestern goal spanning from NYC to as far as Memphis and then back east to North Carolina.
