About this concert
They’re at it again.
Sydney/Eora’s Marilyn Maria enter 2024 with their DEVO inspired dance floor freak out.
‘Self Help Tape’ is a playful musing on master/slave roles in both the workforce and/or S&M role-play. Delivered with the unhinged fury of an '80s workout tape, over a crushing bass line and wrenching guitars, this track will inspire you to get out of the office (5pm sharp) and onto the dance floor.
Please join the band at Marrickville Bowling Club on Saturday the 27th of April to celebrate the track's release, supported by Rat Boy School Excursion and Final Girls.

Marilyn Maria Biography
Marilyn Maria takes its name from a movie star and a religious saint: a dichotomy that mirrors the Eora/Sydney quartet's distinct take on post-punk.
In a mere two years, the band has independently recorded and released two four-track EPs that traverse a range of sonic palettes and influences: from the self affirming alt-country ballad 'Love Yourself', to politically charged garage with 'Watching America' and the haunting murder ballad 'Jack Fell Down'.
The band has rapidly grown an audience on the local underground circuit for their incendiary live shows, sharing the spotlight with acclaimed acts like Polish Club, Greatest Hits and Cry Club. With no signs of slowing down, the band is on the cusp of releasing their next single 'Breathe In' slated for late 2023.
