Karlijn Langendijk

The music of Karlijn Langendijk (1995, Netherlands) is not just happy or sad - she composes all the intricate shades of emotions that people feel really intensely but cannot communicate in words. As a guitarist & composer, she is fascinated by all kinds of different music genres and she mixes all these together into a completely unique style. She has shared the stage with musicians like Tommy Emmanuel and Peter Finger, and has toured in Europe, China and India. She has won multiple prizes and awards like the “SAI Acoustic Guitar Competition” (CZ) and the sponsor prize at the “European Guitar Award” (DE).
In December 2019 her new duo album “Meraki” was released together with guitarist Ladislav Pazdera: Virtuoso rhythmical pieces that evoke images of far-away lands and atmospheric ballads that leave the listener in a dreamy, tranquil world.
