Jah Wobble?s career speaks for itself, spanning over 40 years he?s played on countless albums, with performers such as PIL?s John Lydon, Brian Eno, Bill Laswell, U2?s The Edge, Sinead O?Connor, Primal Scream, Bjork, The Orb, The Cranberries Dolores O ?Riordan and many more, as well as a regular on the hit TV show Never Mind the Buzzcocks. His own band Invaders of the Heart have been an ongoing project involving many great session players and incorporated many styles all with one commonality, Jah?s skilful bass playing, love of music and his smooth charisma. In January 2020 Jah Wobble & The Invaders of the Heart toured their latest musical offering many of the shows selling better than the preceding tours the band are keen to return to the road in 2024 for UK and European shows. This is going to be a very special show with John's sons blending their music with their dads read about them below. John Tian Qi Wardle and Charlie Tian Yi Wardle were born to a musical family. Their father is Jah Wobble, a prominent bass player who has collaborated with various musicians such as Brian Eno, Bill Laswell and Bjork. Their mother, Zilan Liao, is a skilled and globally respected Guzheng player from Guangzhou China, who has performed at various events and concerts across the world. Growing up, John and Charlie were exposed to a diverse range of musical styles and traditions, including traditional Chinese music. This exposure had a profound influence on their musical style, which combines elements of traditional Chinese music with contemporary sounds and instrumentation. The two brothers are beginning to make a name for themselves in the music industry through their innovative and unique blend of traditional Chinese music and contemporary/modern sounds. Born and raised in England they were exposed to a diverse range of musical styles and traditions from a young age, which has influenced their musical style. Their band, Tian Qiyi, was formed as a way to share their innovative musical style with the world. Their latest album, "Red Mist," showcases their skilful instrumentation and creative approach to music-making. The album features a range of tracks that are both energetic and danceable and haunting and reflective, demonstrating their versatility as musicians. One standout track on the album, ?Incantation,? features a fusion of traditional Chinese Instrumentation and electric Jazz, creating a captivating and unique sound that sets them apart from other contemporary Chinese musicians. John and Charlie's dedication to preserving traditional Chinese music while pushing boundaries has earned them recognition and acclaim in the music industry. Their ability to seamlessly blend different musical styles and cultures has made them pioneers in the field of contemporary Chinese music.
