The Strangers Biography
Originally hailing from Santa Claus, Indiana, The Strangers are four 20-something’s transporting listeners back to Rock N Roll’s prime: The 1970’s. Their sound is like a grungier Rush with James Hetfield-style vocals. Comprised of singer Lucas Washington, guitarist Rylan Cox, bassist Kadin Rea, and drummer Teelin Atteberry, the American Rock band has been described as, “a super tight jam band with songs that stick with you and a live performance that slays.” Danny Wimmer said, “I like what I’m hearing” after The Strangers won the DWPresents Battle for The Big Stage in August of this year at the legendary Troubadour in Los Angeles, CA. The band then went on to play the Main Stage at DW’s Louder Than Life festival in Louisville, KY on Sunday, September 25th, opening for bands like Incubus, Alice in Chains, Dirty Honey, The Struts, and The Chili Peppers to name a few. After having lost their friend and original drummer Noah Loper to a tragic overdose in 2021, The Strangers set out to honor their late brother in making a project using Loper’s demo drum recordings in what became the band’s self-titled, debut album. Expected to drop Fall 2023, the band is currently at work recording their second full-length album.
