The Dead XIII

Rising UK metal outfit The Dead XIII march forward with their mouth-watering mixture of filthy whiskey-soaked riffs, satanically scuzzy solos and contagious choruses. With a glut of influences stemming from the striking horror-punk of the Misfits and the Murderdolls to the bite of contemporary newcomers The Defiled, Dead XIII have created an enthralling amalgamation of dirty sizzling metal ‘n’ roll underpinned by blistering guitar work and infectious hooks.

Born in the dark and dingy backstreets of Manchester in 2013, The Dead XIII have quickly gained notoriety throughout the UK for delivering high octane performances complete with stunning imagery dedicated to each and every show. Their live show has earnt the bands several good reviews including Kerrang [4K & 5K].

Comprised of Kurt Blackshard (Lead Vocals), Symon Strange (Guitar & Synth), Paul Ryan (Bass), Spike Owen (Drums) and Ste Mahoney (Lead Guitar), the quintet have spent the past year spreading their venom throughout the UK. Forming early 2013, the band have toured with a variety of bands including Aiden, AshestoAngels, Doyle (Ex Misfits), Farewell my Love, Griever, Never Found and Masamune. As well as sharing the stage with Annisokay, Bad Pollyanna, Fearless Vampire Killers, Forever Never and William Control.

In 2015 the band headed out on the critically acclaimed The British Horror Story Tour alongside their #NewGrave brothers AshestoAngels and Farewell, My Love. The tour earned the touring party a 5k show review in Kerrang!.

The Dead XIII released their long awaited debut Album ‘Catacombs’ on the 10th August 2015. The Album has had great reviews from Kerrang! [4K], Powerplay Magazine [8], TBFM [5*], with tracks of the Album also being featured on the cover mount cd of Terrorizer Magazine, receiving Kerrang Video Premieres. The album was also named on the ‘Kerrang! Staff’s’ top 10 albums of the year and the single ‘XIII’ was named on ‘Kerrang! Staff’s’ top 10 singles.
