Random Hand Biography

From 2002 to present, Random Hand have been mashing together every influence on their collective plate to finally arrive at what you hear today - an explosively heavy yet infectiously dancey ska-punk-rap-metal mashup that The Talk Magazine describes as "Like I would imagine a Psychedelic acid trip on a crazy fairground ride; fast lights, crazy emotions, excitement, heightened senses...this band blows you away."

Driven by a love for live music, gigs and the road, Random Hand have been ripping up stages over the UK for the past 4 years, clocking up an impressive gig list while touring the 'On the March' EP.
Punktastic.com said: "When 'Tear Down' and 'Morally Blind' kick in, they're both exemplary punk rock songs that nonetheless manage to slip into other music voices seemingly at will...the transitions between light and heavy are always well-handled and steer clear of the predictable formulae that lesser bands never shy away from."

As well as sharing many stages over the years with the likes of The Planet Smashers, Mustard Plug, Skindred, Streetlight Manifesto, Against All Authority, Antimaniax, King Blues, Howard's Alias, and Babar Luck, Random Hand also appeared at Wasted 2005: the UK's biggest punk festival (and are already booked for this year's Rebellion Festival in Blackpool), supported Adequate Seven on their last ever tour, supported Lightyear on their reunion tour and appeared on the lineup for the hugely successful second leg of the 2006 Three Way Dance Tour with Sonic Boom Six and Failsafe.

2007 heralds a new era for the band after the release of their debut album 'Change of Plan', released on Riot Music on May 7th, after the band returned from supporting The Voodoo Glowskulls on their UK tour. The album can be ordered from the Random Hand Online Shop.
