Alex E.T. Biography

Los Angeles songwriter/guitarist Alex E.T.’s debut album 𝘛𝘩𝘦 𝘈𝘴𝘩𝘦𝘴 is available for the first time on vinyl from Ghost Tower Records. Distinguished by haunting melodies, velvet vocals, and intricate guitar lines, 𝘛𝘩𝘦 𝘈𝘴𝘩𝘦𝘴 showcases a gritty, bewitching new sound that earned a 4-Star review in Shindig! Magazine and was featured as an Essential Release on Bandcamp who described it as “bedroom pop mixed with the proto-punk primitivity of the Velvet Underground." Dubbed a “ten song mastercraft of sound and beauty” by POW Magazine, 𝘛𝘩𝘦 𝘈𝘴𝘩𝘦𝘴 channels styles and sounds of 60s psychedelia, mixed with angular post-punk flourishes and the rawness of 90s indie rock.

Alex performed stripped down versions of songs from 𝘛𝘩𝘦 𝘈𝘴𝘩𝘦𝘴 live for the first time along with previews of unreleased material on Gold-Diggers Live Session, a live album released in 2022 recorded at Gold-Diggers in East Hollywood and originally broadcast as a live stream by producer Dave Trumfio (Wilco, Built to Spill, The Mekons). The performance also features a guest appearance by Jeff Davies, original lead guitarist of The Brian Jonestown Massacre.

Since then, with a new and dedicated live band in full swing, Alex E.T has been playing her brand of grunged-out paisley rock on stages in and around Los Angeles. In 2023 she teamed up with musician and producer Ethan Miller (Heron Oblivion, Howlin’ Rain, Comets on Fire, Feral Ohms). Her next studio album is currently underway.
