ARAABMUZIK Biography
“MVP of the MPC”. “1 in 7 billion”. “It’s a gift. It’s talent… that’s just what I do.” AraabMuzik’s demeanour might initially come off overly confident, but see him on the MPC, it’s clear that credit is due. No one can compare to the way he’s able to perform beats on the spot, using the MPC live as an instrument – a technique he pioneered. A drummer by 3, playing in a college band by 10, and rolling with Dipset by 17 – AraabMuzik, born Abraham Orellana; is a gifted Producer, DJ, and Brand Ambassador. It’s hard to name a Hip Hop heavyweight that hasn’t worked with AraabMuzik: A$AP Rocky, Joe Budden, Busta Rhymes, Azealia Banks, 50 Cent, Eminem… the list goes on. But certain artists such as The Diplomats, Swizz Beats, and Fabolous – these artists are family, providing mentorship and guidance that has helped him navigate his 10+ years in the industry. And that has a lot to do AraabMuzik’s success – personal, long term relationships that often start off in the same way – in the studio, blowing away artist’s expectations by cooking up beats live and on the spot. 10 minutes is all it can takes for the MVP to make another banger. But don’t try and put the MPC banger in a box either. Versatility is what has kept AraabMuzik relevant and able to work with the latest artists. As Hip Hop went through changes – so did Araab’s sound. Initially through sampling from both obscure and popular electronic for 2011’s cult hit Electronic Dream; then onto incorporating more experimental and ranging sounds on his debut official album, 2016’s Dream World. Getting booked for large festivals and international venues, Araab knows how to please - keeping on trends to keep up with the crowd’s changing tastes. Electronic, Hip-Hop and R&B, Trap and Bass, these are the core genres AraabMuzik’s fans know and love him for. Keeping up with AraabMuzik’s career is tough - foreseeing his bright future is even tougher. What's clear is that he's not short on ambition. "I want to be everywhere. If I'm in Taiwan, I want to hear my music on the radio. I want to produce with people that are going to be on the charts and win Grammys... I want to be hearing myself on commercials for a new Mercedes-Benz. That's where I'm headed". 2017 promises the largely anticipated Electronic Dream 2, and releases of several Hip Hop projects he’s put work in on. At 27 years old, it’s clear to see AraabMuzik’s just beginning to unlock his full potential as a versatile and gifted artist. http://www.akaipro.com/product/mpc-artist-series-araabmuzik
