The staff is nice and helpful, the openers were hit or miss, and Stove God Cooks, being a headliner act, wasn't interesting, however Curren$y and Fendi P performing at the end was a great payoff.
Empire is a great venue. It was held outside in the indoor/outdoor hybrid stage, and you know the crowd had to smoke in the grace of a legend. Great weather, great sound, and fun crowd.
Curren$y is a Louisiana legend, with a huge catalog, and dedicated fanbase. This performance was mind-blowing, as he rapped his music along with a live-band, combined with the DJ selecting the playlist. I have been a fan of his music since his Cash Money/Young Money tenure, through to Fly Society and Jet Life. This is my first time seeing him live, and it was excellent!

Curren$y Biography
Curren$y's career flight plan has not come without a few layovers along his burgeoning career. Initially signed to fellow New Orleans rapper C-Murder's Tru Records in 2001, Curren$y was brought over to Master P's New No Limit Records in 2002 after the founder was sentenced to jail. From 2004-2007, Curren$y enjoyed a stint on Cash Money Records as part of Lil Wayne's Young Money Entertainment before venturing out on his own, releasing a series of mixtapes and focusing on his Jet Life apparell and lifestyle brand.
