Shinyribs

This intimate venue was perfect for a great showman like "Shinyribs"! There was barely enough room to hold the 9 member band, onstage. But the tightness led to an unbelievably tight set of excellent music. It's hard to describe a Shinyribs show. Just a night of many genres, centered around Louisisana/Texas/Soul/Country/Rock and Blues, With a Ukelele, and emerald green sequined jacket! Thanks for a fun night!

The band is awesome and I will see them again, tho I was disappointed the Shiny Soul Sisters were not there. Those ladies are essential to the Shinyribs experience. Also, some drunken idiot in the front row kept injecting himself in the show, to include going up on stage. Security eventually removed him but he should’ve been escorted out long before he was. You’d think Brauntex could handle this geriatric crowd better than it did. The band and New Braunfels deserve better… but again, I love this band and WILL see them again.

Great entertainer. Good music. Would have been better if Shinyribs had his backup singers. They add so much to the show. Also, the show would have been enjoyed even more if Brauntex staff had removed the drunk clown in the front row that refused to sit down. Should've been removed immediately after going up on the stage without permission. Luckily, he didn't hurt anyone or fall of the stage. Other than that, Shinyribs shined!

Nothing short of amazing. I am not a guy who goes around saying things like "positive vibes" and "great energy" but dammit... that's what it was. And musically? They know just how much to mix in the horns and the background vocals (which really aren't background so much as an integral part of the band and the material. And Kevin Russell? A real force on stage, like a gumbo, blues, and beer loving Santa who's pretty sure you've been bad and is more than a little OK with it. Superb!

My 8th (or 9th). I sat next to a guy who had never seen Shinyribs or heard much of their music. I told him he was about to witness a pure expression of musical joy. At the end of the show they looked at me and said “I have a new favorite band.” Don’t miss a Shinyribs show. You will have a smile on your face for days.

Kevin brings it throughout the night. The Shiny Soul Sisters keep the party hopping. And The Tijuana Trainwreck Horns make it fun and funky. Shinyribs is a band to go see. They never miss a beat or a chance to make you move.

We loved the concert. We brought our friends and they absolutely loved it. Even the 2- 16 year olds. Thanks for a very entertaining evening. I wish I had his energy 💙❤️

OUTSTANDING PERFORMANCE. This was my first time to see Shinyribs and it was worth every dime. Such an entertainer, a great show band, and great fun. The three of us went to see it and had a BLAST. The Texas Theater in Waxahachie is a GREAT venue. We stayed around for a while and enjoyed talking to the band and Kevin Russell, who is very approachable and very friendly. LOVED THE ENTIRE PERFORMANCE AND ADVENTURE!!!!!

Shinyribs brought the goods as usual. Whole band sounded great. However, the opener was terrible, sound for them was terrible. Big waste of time and it took to long to get Shinyribs on stage. Crowd was super weird as well. Not sure what rocks they crawled out of.

This was my first Shinyribs show and I danced the whole time, starting with Seth James. I can't remember the last time I had so much fun at a concert. You know it was a great show when you're still dancing the next morning!

Shinyribs is a a top notch singer/musician with an amazing band! Super entertaining! Been going to his shows for 15-20 years back when The Gourds were together. Must see every time he is in town!

So much fun! The Mighty Orc opener was tremendous! And Kevin Russell’s Shinyribs were so engaging. Kevin Russell is such an entertainer! Great original music, super-fun cover mash-ups, nice flow to the sets and they lit up the night with his fan favorite finale! You can’t leave his show without a big smile on your face and love in your heart.

We are members of the Shinyribs cult! Fun down low night! Since its hard not to not see them…we got to see what Kevin and the guys actually looked like without the Shinygirls there.

As always Kevin Russell came with the eclectic energy I’ve come to expect. His movement style, fun mishmash storytelling/singing injected good spirits into the crowd. He didn’t play with his usual band but rather with a group of performers dressed and styled in the manner of George Harrison in his Sgt. Pepper’s getup, Elton John, Ziggy Stardust, Michael Stypes, and Chong of Cheech and Chong. It was a blast!

This amazing performance was in St.Louis, MO-At Off Broadway. Been looking forward to seeing Shinyribs in person for a few years and they did not disappoint! What an exciting high-energy evening. Kevin Walker is the most joyful man. His vocal range astounding, and his original music touches your heart and soul. The band was tight and right, and the Shiny Soul Sisters energy never ebbed. Can’t wait To see Shinyribs again- Life can be very sweet.

5STARS!!! Absolutely Awesome they rocked the house then came back and rocked us again!!! We were all sweaty:). Of course I love all of these very accomplished professional musicians bring me pure joy to me.

Awesome show with some new music. They are so much fun to be in the same room with. I love and admire all the accomplished musicians in SHINYRIBS! They just warm my soul and make me feel joy again. From Kevin, Shiny Sisters, Mark, Tiger, Winfield, Keith, bass player stepping in, all bring joy. Just plan love y’all. Thank you mucho for a joyful evening.

One of the most entertaining groups in the country, And Kevin the main man is such a great guy he was out in the bar before the concert talking to all the fans. He always has surprises wasn’t expecting “chasing waterfalls” cover, it was awesome.

This band is AMAZING! Do yourself a favor: memorize the name and if you hear they are in your area drop everything and go see them! Kev Russell's songs fit his stage persona to a T. He will not give up until everyone in the house is singing or clapping along and most songs have significant audience participation. So, remember the name: SHINYRIBS. You'll be screaming it later. Guaranteed.
