Rwake Biography
Rwake (pronounced "Wake") is a sludge metal band from Little Rock, Arkansas, USA, that began as a jamming four-piece in 1996. The band was originally called Wake.
They began touring in July 2002, and have released one demo, Xenoglossalgia: The Last Stage of Awareness, and four albums, Absence Due to Projection, Hell is a Door to the Sun, If You Walk Before You Crawl, You Crawl Before You Die, and Voices of Omens. They have also been featured on many samplers and compilations.
The band has opened once for The Misfits, but generally open for bands in their genre and success levels. They started their latest tour, "The Last Temptation of Crust," on April 8, 2005, in Nashville, Tennessee, opening for the North Carolina-based band Weedeater over a non-stop span of two weeks.
