Bad Assumption is a Post Hardcore Band from Germany. Their fans labelled their genre as Tracksuitpunk due to their unique appearance.

Bad Assumption refuses to stand idly by and let themselves be eaten up the world’s suffering. With their new record „No Excuses“, they are off the chain, sounding freer than ever. They bid farewell to hatred and doubt, and instead champion unity in the face of the biggest catastrophe in the history of humankind. The band doesn’t stop at calling for resistance, but states plainly what the long, slow battle against the world’s injustices means for those fighting.
The fights on „No Excuses“ were desperate if they were to be fought alone. Bad Assumption proclaim endless solidarity as they reflect on their multiple and diverse relationships with others. All outcomes are possible, if it‘s a future with humans only survivng in space-colonies or hopeful resistance and at the same time establishing a world for all.
Bad Assumption kick-started in 2022 when they played more than 30 shows, were booked assupport for SeeyouSpaceCowboy and Trash Boat, released 5 music videos and their second full-lenght „No Excuses“. Their music nails the zeitgeist hammering home the importance of changing the status quo and their liveshows are an energetic eye candy.
In doing so, Bad Assumption’s sound is more versatile than ever: melodic hardcore meets pop-punk, alternative rock cut through with post-rock elements. It’s music for fans of Stick To Your Guns, Rise Against, Touché Amoré and Billy Talent alike.
