Meanjin alternative/trash punk 5 piece Fixture are coming to the Brightside to bring their enigmatic and unconventional live show in celebration oftheir debut EP, Violence and Vaseline! Drawing inspiration from John Waters, childhood cartoons, trash tv and the cult like zealous of religion, Fixture have created their own unique sound whilst lyrically and thematically pointing the finger at modern society and its sick hypocrisies. Known for their ever increasing live chaos and theatrics used on stage (the cage child is often asked about), they describe their live show as "A Pink Flamingo's trailer that the Manson Family moved into"Joining them on this venture of filth is Shock Value, a wildly tumultuous group of punks who's antics are equally mesmerising and terrorising, and Palena, who are so humbly self described as "a band from Brisbane" (they gotta be hiding something good from us)

Shock Value Biography
Our band was formed in early 2013 when Michael Dino and Joey Letcher got the idea to combine their musical talents for a high school talent show. We added good friend John "DJ Swierch" to handle sound equipment. Through a mutual friend, Shock Value added Matt Malloy as full time drummer in May 2013. After a few more lineup shifts, the band added Seth Harkins as bassist beginning for the 2016 winter schedule.
Shock Value has been active throughout the Hazleton area for two and a half years, playing gigs such as Funfest, the American Cancer Society telethon, and our own annual music festival, WoodShock. In 2016 our debut EP, The ShockWave EP, was released. The band is currently working on its next release.
We are looking to get signed to an indie label as soon as possible in order to reach as many people as we can. We want to spread our story, and it starts with you!
