Brand New Heartache Biography
Brand New Heartache was founded by husband-and-wife duo Eleese and Matthew Meschery. Inspired by the high lonesome sound of classic American country music while influenced by the contemporary sounds of their hometown, Oakland, California, Brand New Heartache has been backed by a rotating cast of well-established Bay Area musicians including members of Chuck Prophet’s band, The Counting Crows, Samba Da and Moshe Vilozny band. They relocated to Madison, Tennessee after a summer cross-country trip with their 3 boys landed them in East Nashville for the summer. They fell in love with the unique music scene and have played intimate venues such as The Underdog, Mirror Mirror, and The Bowery Vault.
