About this concert
La Dispute Marks 10 Years of “Rooms Of The House” With Exclusive Global TourMichigan post-hardcore band La Dispute commemorates the 10th anniversary of their acclaimed 2014 album “Rooms Of The House,” playing the album in full—along with selections from their entire catalog—across just 5 shows in 2024.Beginning with 3 shows in the EU/UK—June 6th in London, June 8th in Berlin, June 11th in Amsterdam—before returning home for one exclusive US show on the 28th of September in their hometown of Grand Rapids, plus a final night in Australia on November 22nd in Sydney, these shows will mark not just their only “Rooms of the House” anniversary shows, but their only remaining headlining shows for the entirety of 2024, as they continue preparations for a new album.  La Dispute is a five-piece from Grand Rapids, Michigan responsible for some of the most uncompromising, experimental post-hardcore music of the last two decades.Through four full length records—Somewhere at the Bottom of the River Between Vega and Altair (2008), Wildlife (2011), Rooms of the House (2014), and their most recent PANORAMA (2019), released by Epitaph Records, as well as its on-going Here, Hear EP series—La Dispute have continued to push themselves stylistically release to release, evolving through the incorporation of new sounds, themes, and approaches while remaining unmistakably La Dispute in the process.Lyrically, PANORAMA serves as a return to early form, trading the fictionalized characters of their previous two albums for a personal meditation on life, loss, and recovery in the form of a half-dreamt, half-real drive along an important stretch of highway in their hometown. Instrumentally, PANORAMA is their most diverse effort, using layers of additional production and instrumentation to create an ethereal yet still intense accompaniment to the vision-filled car ride the lyrics discuss. Following successful tours in 2022 and 2023 revisiting their seminal album Wildlife, the band has begun the process of writing their fifth as-yet untitled full length album and looks forwards to playing more shows and connecting with fans worldwide along the way. After nearly two full decades crafting inventive post-hardcore, La Dispute remains driven by their passion for art, live performance, and for the community that surrounds it.Tickets on sale Friday 22nd March at 10am.

venue was very intimate; allowing everyone present to really connect with the artists (as they were like at an arm's length). the pre-acts were very good and when la dispute came on, jordan really elevated the performance by spinning and dancing the whole time! people were handed out water and checked out- everyone really looked out for everyone. with the venue's comforting atmosphere also... the whole performance was a lot more enjoyable. i would definitely, if theres another chance, see 'la dispute' again AND visit stay gold for it's venue!

La Dispute Biography

La Dispute has never been a band prone to settling. The five-piece from Grand Rapids, Michigan, is responsible for some of the most uncompromising, experimental hardcore music of the last decade. From their 2008 debut (in their current formation) Somewhere at the Bottom of the River Between Vega and Altair, to 2011’s Wildlife, to 2015’s Rooms of the House, La Dispute have continually pushed themselves to find new ways to portray some of the most difficult and universally affecting subject matters. Casting a wide stylistic net that includes – but isn’t limited to – jazz, blues, spoken word, screamo and prog rock, La Dispute have developed a sound that, while constantly evolving, is unmistakably theirs.
