The Milkmen

The Milkmen are a playful Norwegian blues and jazz duo featuring guitarist/vocalist Svein Erik Martinsen and drummer/multi-instrumentalist Hermund Nygård. Both established musicians on the Norwegian jazz scene, they formed The Milkmen as a creative playground to explore their love for old-school blues and swing. Known for their quirky, energetic performances, they combine classics with originals, using an array of instruments—including homemade ones like a cigarbox guitar and bass pedals from a living room organ. Their debut album You Can’t Judge A Book includes the world’s first blues song about knitting!
