Always a jewel in crown of the London party calendar, the Summer officially starts here. Over the past 10 years, the outdoor section of Studio 338 has gone from being a car park, to one of the best loved spots in Europe for al fresco dancing. This year will be extra special as we celebrate a decade of open air Summer parties with the arrival of the newly installed festival arena style set up meaning that the parties can continue during the day and night. By now Release is renowned for its cutting edge and adventurous musical programming and will take over the controls from start to finish, bringing together Magda and Tania Vulcano to reprise their infamous b2b sets from DC10 and The End back in the glory days of the Mid 2000s. Magda and Tania will play a 4 hour b2b session alongside a whole host of the worlds best selectors in the form of Anastasia Kristensen, Klose One, Afriqua, Clive Henry and many more. Tania Vulcano Biography
Tania Vulcano was born in Uruguay, but has lived in Ibiza for the last 8 years. This talented DJ is very well known on the island and has rapidly gained international recognition. It was five years ago that she became resident at DC 10’s Circo Loco and Space, which have served as a perfect stage for her all this time. Tania is also now resident of the very prestigious London club, The End, and also Discoteque and La Terrrazza in Barcelona.
Tania’s career began around eight years ago, at small clubs in Palma de Mallorca, but it was upon reaching Ibiza that she began to make a name for herself. The last two summer seasons have been specially important since Circo Loco at DC10 was considered the best and most underground party on the island. Here Tania has had the opportunity to spin alongside Tenaglia, Mr C , Fatboy Slim, Terry Farley, amongst others.
Muzik magazine(UK) comments in it’s ‘Saints & Sinners’ September 2001 issue: “ It may come as a surprise to you, but members of Muzik’s staff in Ibiza sometimes find themselves tired and emotional. DC 10 ressie Miss Vulcano, has proven to be something of a Godsend in this respect, giving new energy to tired limbs with her after hours blend of Tenaglian funk on a Monday morning.”
Tania’s style goes from Deep, Funky House to Tribal filled with percussion. Her energy is evident in each session and she wins crowds over with the incessant base of the best underground music! This summer she will spend driving Space and Circo Loco’s dancefloor mad and playing at top clubs in Europe. Winter will be filled with more travelling in North and South America
Tania is beginning work in the studio,and apart from mixing 2 important compilations this year(Circoloco Part 2 and Discoteque Sound Track for Life), she has began exploring the production aspect of her career. We eagerly await the release of her track ‘Criminal Groove’, out on Stomp Recordings(Spain) in August, which she has done in collaboration with Jose de Divina and is already creating quite a stir in Ibiza this summer.
Tania Vulcano is currently synonymous of quality underground house music all over the world and her career is on a steep rise!!!!!
