Winston Ward

Winston Ward is a singer/songwriter hailing from the city of New York. It has been destined since birth for this talented crooner to share his gift with the world. Born February 5th, Winston like many singers, was raised in the church where his passion for music blossomed. He pays much homage to the late Professor Stuart Ross, the minister of music at Fountain Spring Baptist Church for being a strong presence musically and one of the reasons why Winston started his musical journey. Another place where his talents blossomed was in high school. Once he figured out that females loved guys that could sing, that was all the ammunition he needed to pursue music.

Growing up in the Bronx, Winston learned early on that very few things are ever given to you. He understood that if he wanted to be successful, especially in the music industry, he would have to put in the overtime in order for him to reach that goal. This sense of work ethic and accountability combined with creativity & musicality is what separates Winston from the crowd.

Since his musical "birth" Winston has performed on several stages throughout the United States including Pennsylvania, Virginia, Michigan, Florida & several other stages overseas. He's shared stages with many gospel and secular artists such as Donnie McClurklin, Andrea Soares, Beenie Man, Shaggy, Amber P. Riley and many others. During this time is when Winston decided to brand himself with the hashtag #CanISingForYou.

Winston cites his musical influences to be Kenneth "Babyface" Edmonds, Prince, Luther Vandross, Tank, Musiq Soulchild, Timbaland, Jay-Z, Brandy, Jazmine Sullivan, Bob Marley, Kanye West, Eric Bellinger & Drake.

Many things are in store for Winston in the near future. He released his debut project entitled #CanISingForYou Vol. 1: The Mixtape in 2014 which received praised from many bloggers and media websites. He also released his first single on ITunes on February 14th 2015 entitled "No Reason", which has also received high praise from many blog sites and magazines. In 2016, he released his second mixtape entitled #CanISingForYou: Just A Sample, which sampled many of his favorite artists. What's next for Winston? Maybe an album? EP? Visual album? Only time will tell.
