Rooted in the art of live looping, Idan weaves together vocals, saxophone, acoustic guitar, bass and a drum machine, creating an entrancing one-man-band performance. Idan sings in Hebrew, English, Italian, and French, while exploring genres from folk and jazz to blues, electronic, reggae, and pop.The Shmoné project was founded four years ago. Idan decided to fly to Australia with his instruments and tour the continent of Australia in concerts and collaborations with musicians on the road. Since then, Idan has circled all of Australia, twice! With shows in every time zone, city and town. Idan was a guest on the central ABC radio station in various cities, appeared in local newspapers, collaborated with well-known bands in Australia, participated in four acclaimed festivals in four different states and even held his own festival twice which included artists from all over the continent.THE GOV | BALCONYFriday May 03Doors 7.30pm | $20+BF

Shmoné Biography
Shmoné - originally the solo musical project of the talented Idan Shoham ,with the addition of three remarkable band members:
Maayan Simkey (Backing Vocals and Guitar), Omer Zaidi (Bass Guitar and Backing Vocals), and Guy Elharar (Drums). Together, they continue to harness the saxophone looping style that defines Shmoné while injecting a full-band electric vibe into their music.
