Kat Eaton Biography
Debut album 'Talk To Me' out now - https://kateaton.lnk.to/TalkToMe
Cardiff born, Sheffield raised and now living in the capital, Kat Eaton has steadily been making a name for herself over the last few years in the UK, as well as overseas. Her love for Blues, Soul, Jazz & Gospel started from an early age, listening to her father’s record collection and sneaking in to gigs underage at working men’s clubs and pubs to watch Sheffield Blues legend Frank White. It was at one of these early gigs that Kat decided not to be a pop artist (like many of her peers had suggested), but to follow her gut instead and perform the music she was raised on and was in her bones.
Having already toured the UK/EU supporting various artists (Jools Holland, Paul Carrack, The Teskey Brothers, Marc Broussard and Mamas Gun) selling out multiple headlines shows in London, co-writing with the likes of Caro Emerald, Ruby Turner and Roberta Campos and breaking through to new territories via the national radio airwaves of Holland, Belgium, France and Italy, Kat has established herself as one of the hardest working and talented performers in her field.
After the global success of her debut album ‘Talk To Me’ Kat is back in the studio recording her second album and is booking her UK & European tour. Armed with fresh new original material and a band behind her that have played with the likes of Tom Jones, Van Morrison, George Benson, Mark Ronson and Ed Sheeran Kat Eaton’s live show is world class, honest and spell-binding.
Whereas some debut albums show artists still finding their feet and sonic direction, Kat is unashamedly bold & confident in her abilities as a vocalist and songwriter, effortlessly merging Soul, and classic R&B throughout a mature and well rounded 10 tracks. Utilising completely live instrumentation (a must for Kat), ‘Talk To Me’ takes the classic vintage sound of inspirations such as Barbara Lynn and Lesley Gore and updates it with contemporary embellishments and relatable lyrics for the 21st century.
Less an artist in ascendancy, ‘Talk To Me’ solidifies Kat’s place as an artist already at the top of their game and now ready to share the fruits of years of hard work to the world.
