With the release of their stunning new album ‘Kob’ on Napalm Records the band have released a career landmark album. GHOSTS OF ATLANTIS (🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿) English symphonic/melodic death metal heavyweights GHOSTS OF ATLANTIS are another act playing their first ever Plymouth show on this tour, after a highly successful tour in support of Fear Factory the band are set to bring their highly melodic style of extreme metal on the road as the main support to ARKONA this May. Performing on the Plymouth date exclusively Northern Irish death/doom aficionados THE CRAWLING (🇬🇧) also make their first journey to Britain’s ocean city. Having played a wide range of headline tours and recently touring in support of bands like Carcass and Winterfylleth, THE CRAWLING are fast making a name for themselves as a prominent part of the UK extreme metal scene. AKLASH (🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿) represent the only band on this bill that has performed in Plymouth before. Having previously performed for us twice, once at the Junction at Solempnytys Festival in 2021, and once as main support to Fen in 2018. The band’s blackened folk stylings are unique in the UK metal scene. The bands career has seen them perform high profile support slots for bands such as Gaerea, Saor and Akercocke in the past few years, and the band’s stature only continues to grow. Opening this event in Plymouth are melodic death metal band EARTHBOUND (🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿), making their Plymouth debut the band’s incredible blend of intelligently written melodies, crushing riffs and intelligent delivery of a range of vocal styles to fit their artistically crafted music has seen EARTHBOUND perform with acts such as Countless Skies, Enquire Within and Akkadian. £25 / 16+ / 19:00pm

The Crawling Biography

Formed in the winter of 2014 from Lisburn city, Northern Ireland; The Crawling use a guttural vocal to combine melancholy with weight, churning out a heavy, doom/death ensemble. January 2015 saw the single ‘Choking On Concrete,’ followed in October by the highly successful EP 'In Light of Dark Days.'

April 2017 the debut album, 'Anatomy Of Loss' was released, receiving excellent reviews worldwide, and was streamed exclusively by Metal Hammer UK. 2018 was the year of, ‘Wolves and the Hideous White’ featuring six tracks, and again receiving excellent reviews and response from media.

With live music gone, 2021 came around much too quickly, and whilst working on the new album The Crawling released the single; “Sparrow”, also featuring a B-side Bjork cover of “Play Dead.” 2022/2023 saw the band back on the road headlining dates across the UK, and at home, supporting the single.

Touring was put on hold, the recording process stated, and 7 new tracks including a reworking of Sparrow was completed. The new album entitled “All Of This For Nothing” explores the human desire to be accepted, fit in, to be part of perceived normality; despite the reality that nothing matters due to the finite nature of existence. The album also looks at the consequence of said actions, and the accountability culture is assisting in removing.

The Crawling have established their live performance with support from a loyal fan base; most notably appearing at Inferno Metal Festival (Norway), Bloodstock Open Air (UK), Seige of Limerick (IRE), Metal Days (SLO), Shellshockfest (Malta), Uprising (UK), Incinerationfest (UK), Mammothfest (UK) and Full Metal Mensa (GER), recent tours with Winterfylleth & Gaera, and Irish tour with Carcass. The Crawling are highly active on all social media platforms, and have continued support from Grindscene Records.
