*English see below* Dire Straits Legacy wordt terecht beschouwd als een van de meest geliefde erfgenamen van de iconische muziek van Dire Straits. De band bestaat uit vier originele leden die hebben bijgedragen aan het unieke geluid en jarenlang hebben opgenomen en getoerd met Dire Straits. Met hun optredens brengen zij een indrukwekkend eerbetoon aan de Britse rocklegendes, die wereldwijd meer dan 120 miljoen albums hebben verkocht. Deze muzikale grootheden zijn onder andere: Alan Clark, de originele toetsenist van Dire Straits, een Grammy Award-winnaar en inductee van de Rock’n’Roll Hall of Fame in 2018. Phil Palmer en Danny Cummings, die deel uitmaakten van de band tijdens de opname van het geweldige album “On Every Street” en de bijbehorende wereldtournee. Mel Collins, de saxofonist die sinds het album en de wereldtournee van “Love Over Gold” uit 1982 een integraal onderdeel van Dire Straits was. Dire Straits Legacy is rightfully considered one of the most beloved heirs of the iconic music of Dire Straits. The band consists of four original members who contributed to the unique sound and recorded and toured with Dire Straits for years. With their performances, they pay an impressive tribute to the British rock legends, who have sold over 120 million albums worldwide. These musical greats include: Alan Clark, the original keyboardist of Dire Straits, a Grammy Award winner and inductee of the Rock’n’Roll Hall of Fame in 2018. Phil Palmer and Danny Cummings, who were part of the band during the recording of the fantastic album "On Every Street" and its accompanying world tour. Mel Collins, the saxophonist who has been an integral part of Dire Straits since the album and world tour of "Love Over Gold" in 1982.

Dire Straits Legacy Biography
The Dire Straits Legacy project was born from the love and respect for the music of Dire Straits, and to bring the music to fans who have been starved of hearing it played live by the musicians who made it, for far too long.
DSL: the closest to Dire Straits reforming you are ever going to get.
Dire Straits no longer exists, and any hope the band will reform and play another concert has been quashed by alleged reports that Mark Knopfler will never tour again. This band, DSL Dire Straits Legacy, is as close as you are ever going to get to Dire Straits reforming.
Here’s why:
We are a band of globally celebrated musicians, five of who recorded and toured with Dire Straits, and one of whom, keyboardist Alan Clark, was recently inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as a significant member of the band. Our bass player, Trevor Horn, also knows a thing or two about music; he is widely regarded as the world’s greatest record producer. Our guitarist, Phil Palmer, played on Dire Straits’ On every Street record and tour and features on hundreds of records of other major artists and bands. Our percussion player, Danny Cummings, also played on the On Every Street record and tour and has since worked extensively with Mark Knopfler, playing drums in his band for many years, and played on his latest tour, Mark’s last, as his percussionist. Our sax player, Mel Collins, played on Dire Straits’ Alchemy record and toured for several years with the band, has played on countless major records, and is currently touring with King Crimson. Our frontman, Marco Caviglia, is one of the world’s leading authorities on Mark Knopfler’s music and guitar technique, and a fine guitarist and frontman. We are not Dire Straits; Dire Straits could not exist without Mark Knopfler. But we are the next best thing. And we are the closest to Dire Straits reforming that you are ever going to get.
