About this concert
For her new project Dutch/Cameroonian singer Ntjam Rosie has teamed up with 18 piece groove/funk bigband Licks & Brains. The group led by heavy cat arranger and alto player Rolf Delfos and Rosie have cooked up a collection of five funky, horn heavy afro grooves: be sure to check out Embrace The New! Together they will be hitting the festival and club stages.

Licks & Brains Biography
Licks & Brains are a Dutch 18 piece Soul/Funk/Jazz big band directed by Rolf Delfos, recording artist of over 100 records and one of the leading alto-players in the Netherlands. The big band has recorded 4 albums, recently toured in China, and performs with top-artists from the Dutch Jazz/Funk scene. Licks & Brains released their latest album “NEXT!”, featuring Defunkt’s lead singer and trombonist Joseph Bowie (USA), in 2017.
