Through rehab, she relearned her fine motor skills and managed to get back to playing piano and guitar for gigs. Having to manage these health issues, she had lost her spark for creativity, which hit twofold with the impending lockdown. But now she is back at it and her tracks are as spicier as ever. Douzey makes her mark as she belts out some tongue-twisting introspective and sarcastic lyricism, along with catchy hooks and songs you can't help but dance to.This night is one to see the scene for what is to come out of this powerhouse of a creative if you have a penchant for saying 'I saw them back in the day when they were starting out', this is the event you need to be at! VWLS are 4 close mates who met in Canberra as teenagers. As a biracial and bisexual artist, her music explores realms of ambiguity and contradiction, embodying both wistfulness and wit. Momoko’s feminine aesthetic is charged with masculine energy, challenging conventions with edgy softness. Drawing inspiration from otherworldly women in R&B and folk — Björk, Raveena, Joanna Newsom and Japanese singer Ichiko Aoba — Momoko crafts ethereal soundscapes, with lush chords pierced by dynamic beats. Despite her first love for folk music, her sound is constantly evolving and breaks genre boundaries.
