Ahi Kaa – Home Fires, staged in support of the Waikato River Festival. A unique showcase concert of indigenous performing artists, including: PAMYUA This Alaskan Inuit-soul music group recently headlined the Los Angeles Global Music Festival and derive their style from traditional Inuit & Greenlandic melodies reinterpreted with contemporary vocalization and instrumentation. Rootz Konekt A 9 piece Kirikiriroa band, have a base foundation of roots reggae which incorporates jazz and funk styles to bring their own unique take on homegrown roots music. Phatmode Entertainment - focuses on dance music, including bass-heavy remixes of funky house and old school RnB Hip Hop favourites. Te Pou o Mangataawhiri – has deep historical roots in the Waikato Tainui region. Established by Princess Te Puea Herangi in 1921 they play a vital role in preserving and sharing the stories and history of Waikato Tainui through their dynamic kapa haka performances.

Pamyua Biography
The Alaska founded group Pamyua started ten years ago as a dream by two brothers to share the ancient stories of their people through music and dance. Stephen and Phillip Blanchett, who are of Yup’ik Inuit and African American decent, quickly gained the attention from music lovers of all types.
