Gates Of Hell

(EN) Gates Of Hell (GOH / Gates) date back to early 2008, the band from Oporto (PT) founded initially by Pedro Afonso (Guitar), Filipe Afonso (Guitar) and Filipe Aragão (Voice). Had it's first debut on stage in November of that same year at the Altar Bar in Porto. After a period of concerts and compositions, GOH went through a period of restructuring members which Afonso Ribeiro stays as a drummer (Drums), Hélder Costa (Bass) and José Almeida (Voice). Having defined the quintet, the band decided to record a demo with some songs written during this period. This demo that allowed Gates Of Hell to invade some stage during the year 2009, having been present at many events, in the country sharing the stage with bands enshrined in the national scene. In November 2009, the band entered the studios to record SoundVision his EP titled "Shadows Of The Dark Ages". In 2010 and with gigs in the luggage the band hit enough targets that had proposed follow when launching the EP. After restructuring again, Gates Of Hell marked on their calendar the recording of their album to 2013 that would enable a contract with a record label which was a major goal for the band. After the usual pause for composition and treatment of a concept that was identified with the elements of the band, they entered the studio to work once again with Paulo Lopes and have their LP titled as "Critical Obsession". With this LP the band has achieved a major goal, to work side by side with a great Portuguese label, Rastilho Records recognized in the middle and which contains huge names of national metal. In April 2014 another phase begins for the band and that is not the end of a journey but the beginning of a journey... EMBRACE THE REALITY! (PT) Os Gates Of Hell (GOH/Gates) remontam ao início de 2008, banda do Porto fundada, inicialmente, por Pedro Afonso (Guitarra), Filipe Afonso (Guitarra) e Filipe Aragão (Voz). A banda teve a sua primeira estreia em palco em Novembro desse mesmo ano no Altar Bar no Porto. Após um período de concertos e composições, GOH passaram por um período de reestruturação de membros, no qual ingressa Afonso Ribeiro para (Bateria), Hélder Costa (Baixo) e José Almeida (Voz). Tendo o quinteto definido, a banda decide gravar uma demo com alguns temas compostos durante esse período. Demo essa que permitiu aos Gates Of Hell invadirem alguns palcos durante o ano de 2009, tendo estado presentes em diversos eventos, e pontos do país partilhando o palco com bandas consagradas no panorama nacional. Em Novembro de 2009, a banda entrou nos SoundVision studios para a gravação do seu EP intitulado de “Shadows Of The Dark Ages”, um dos grandes objectivos primários da formação. Em 2010 e com bastantes concertos na bagagem a banda atingiu bastantes objectivos que haviam sigo propostos aquando do lançamento do EP. Após uma restruturação, os Gates Of Hell assinalam na sua agenda a gravação do seu disco de longa duração que possibilitasse a estreia e a entrada numa editora. Depois da paragem habitual para composição e tratamento de um conceito que se identificasse com os elementos a banda entra em estúdio para trabalhar uma vez mais com Paulo Lopes de onde sai com o seu LP “Critical Obsession”. Com este LP a banda conseguiu atingir um dos grandes objectivos, o de trabalhar lado a lado com a Rastilho Records uma editora reconhecida no meio e onde constam os grandes nomes do metal nacional. Em Abril de 2014 começa mais uma fase para a banda e que será não o final de uma caminhada mas o ínicio de um percurso… ABRAÇA A REALIDADE! Stay tunned...cause so are we!!!!
