Hamilton de Holanda

In a historic encounter of musical innovators in the Afro Latin, Brazilian, and Jazz traditions, Belongo (formerly Afro Latin Jazz Alliance) and The Town Hall present an evening of musical inspiration and genre bending collaboration. Brazilian instrumentalists Yamandu Costa and Hamilton de Holanda will join the stage with Arturo O'Farrill and his mighty Afro Latin Jazz Orchestra to push the boundaries of their respective traditions and create a delicious mix of Latin Jazz, chorinho, samba, and other musics of Latin America and the African Diaspora. These three giants of their respective genres and generations, all Grammy Winning artists, composers, and improvisers, perform together for the first time on the Legendary Town Hall stage - an evening not to be missed. The show will feature compositions from each of the three principal artists, in some cases with new arrangements for O'Farrill's 18 piece big band.
