Low Steppa Biography
Low Steppa is without doubt one of the most global influential house music artists to come out of the UK. With a Radio 1 ‘Essential Mix’ and well received album ‘Boiling Point’ under his belt, it's no wonder he continues to be a pivotal fixture in house music and remains a consistent top ten selling artist on Beatport.
In addition to selling out standalone headline shows at London’s Village Underground and E1 in 2022, Low Steppa’s packed touring schedule over the past few years has been complemented by a
string of successful releases. Dropping on some of the most well respected labels around including Armada Music, Defected Records and Strictly Rhythm alongside his own Simma Black, a label that has risen through the ranks to be one of the most respected imprints around, it's Low Steppa’s unique distinguishable sound with an infectious energy behind the decks, plus a ferocious
work ethic, that sets him as a singularly talented artist who lives and breathes house music.
The last few years have seen Low Steppa make a sizable contribution to the house music scene with a run of hit singles of the utmost quality. Notable productions include the massive ‘Heard It All Before’, ‘Runnin’, which certified silver in the UK in 2022, and ‘Wanna Show You’, all on Armada Subjekt and all of which are sitting on many millions of streams and counting.
His debut with powerhouse Defected Records, ‘You’re My Life’, capped an incredible few years working closely withthe label and helped Low Steppa become a regular fixture at their worldwide parties including London, Ibiza and Croatia as well as cement him as a monthly name heard on Defected Broadcasting.
Further release highlights include his all conquering remix of Sonny Fodera ‘Always Gonna Be’, reworks of Hardrive’s ‘Deep Inside’ and Roger Sanchez’s ‘This Feeling’, both of which were picked up by legendary dance label Strictly Rhythm.
Released via dance behemoth Armada Music, largely anticipated album ‘Boiling Point’ took Low Steppa to dizzying heights in September 2020. Featuring key singles ‘Wanna Show You’ feat. Reigns, ‘Runnin’ feat. Kelli Leigh and ‘Heaven’ feat. Mica Paris, the album has clocked up countless spins from key players including Pete Tong, Danny Howard, Annie Mac and MistaJam which led to his highly anticipated Essential Mix debut, the weekend ‘Boiling Point’ dropped.
Outside of the studio, Low Steppa regularly performs at landmark gigs around the world. Alongside launching his own Boiling Point event series, with sold out shows in London, Manchester and Birmingham, he has also racked up recent appearances at Creamfields, We Are FSTVL, Parklife, Radio 1’s Big Weekend and EDC Las Vegas in addition to multiple US tours and multiple residencies including Ibiza and Defected In The House.
With a release schedule to rival previous years; Low Steppa’s 2023 is set to continue to boil over
