About this concert
For the first time, Jono's Mate Sheep bring their melancholic philosophical to Brisbane alongside an epic line-up at Stranded Bar.After beginning 2019 by scrounging together an incredibly rough acoustic set, Jono's Mate Sheep have evolved into an epic melancholic four-piece reminiscent of The Church, The National, Frightened Rabbit, and Ruby Fields. In 2023/24 they shared stages with Kim Churchill, Money Boys, The Bennies, Purple Zain, Power Drill, and Keaper, embarked on their first Victorian tour, and headlined their own sold out shows across the Gold Coast and Northern NSW. The Sheep have a range of new tracks among their repertoire as they build towards their first EP release since 2020. Joining them are special guests MONSTERA, Byron Bay's Rattled Snake, and Pushing Daisies.Tickets $10 pre-sale, $15 on the door. Doors at 6.30pm.

MONSTERA Biography
Monstera is a guiding light through love and loss. A fusion of rock and modern pop, their introspective lyrics and earworm melodies provide a playlist for life.
“It’s an eye of the storm feeling; like you’re watching your own emotions play out from an objective perspective,” says India Wallis of Starving Kids. “It’s confronting and comforting all at once.”
Emerging out of Meanjin (Brisbane), Monstera’s debut single ‘Sanity’ conquered hearts in 2021; a biting take on the fallout of a failed love. From ‘Sanity’ to ‘Another One’—their latest release in 2024—Monstera holds you steady through headache and heartbreak.
Now, Monstera stands poised for national recognition, announcing a debut Australian tour in support of upcoming single ‘Never Run Back’.
