About this concert
Globe Hall presents Musuji with Milquetoast & Co. and The Ephinjis on Saturday, April 13, 2024 Doors: 7pm/ Show: 8pm Advance $15/ DOS $18 - 16+, under 16 admitted with a ticketed parent or guardian MUSUJI: The band has long held the moniker ‘wild with madness’ which accurately describes the band’s musicianship, fluently shifting between serenity and the unhinged. Founded in 2007, they’ve played from coast to coast with such acts as, All Them Witches, The Front Bottoms, Polkadot Cadaver, Fair to Midland, & In the Whale. Critics have distinguished the band as being a “must see” live performance. 2024 marks the 17th year of the band, and the connection and love they have for each other has never been stronger. With the successful release of the band's 4th studio album "BLANKET STATEMENT" in 2022, MUSUJI has been playing live shows all across the front range with great response. The band has been continuously writing and preparing for their next release under the continued mantra, "We play what we want" !! "SPDR'S LGS" is the newest single from MUSUJI set for release on all platforms NYE 2023 MUSUJI IS ... ARNIE BLOMQUIST - VOCALS LUCAS STRICKLAND - DRUMS, PERCUSSION THOM WHITNEY - BASS, VOCALS, MIDI, KEYBOARD RYAN ESCHENBACH - SAXOPHONE, PERCUSSION, DRUMS MICHAEL ZUCKER - GUITAR MILQUETOAST & CO.: Denver-based Milquetoast & Co.'s indie-rock sound has drawn inspiration from Morphine, Lord Huron, Jeff Buckley, Father John Misty, Aldous Harding, Andrew Bird, DeVotchKa, Radiohead, Jacques Dutronc and many others. The lyrics are abundantly self-aware and ironic without watering down the complexity of the human experience. The quintet knows how to throw earnest and humble wisdom into a pot, and mix it with strains of indie rock, blues, rockabilly and Americana. The band's eclectic sound is brought to life by James McAndrew’s emotive vocals and wry, witty, sometimes wistful storytelling; co-producer Dan Zangari’s bass lines; Kyle Bocchieri’s drum work; Joe Engel’s cello technique and rich tone, and Ben Parrish’s guitar style. THE EPHINJIS: The Ephinjis are a rock trio out of the Denver. Brandishing a new sound from their classic rock, punk and Latin influences, Ivan Armendariz (Guitar/Vocals), Christian Armendariz (Drums) and Alexandra Flynn (Bass/Vocals) write evoking and powerful songs, told through brutally honest lyrics and relentless sound. A refreshing act in the current state of popular music, The Ephinjis captivate and entertain the audience, forming a surreal and memorable performance for each individual.
