About this concert
The GRAMMY Museum is thrilled to welcome La Santa Cecilia to the Museum’s intimate 200-seat Clive Davis Theater for an evening including a special screening of La Santa Cecilia's documentary telling their story as a band and the making of Cuatro Copas, "Alma Bohemia," and a conversation moderated by music journalist Betto Arcos about their creative process. ABOUT LA SANTA CECILIA La Santa Cecilia is a Mexican American band founded in 2007 in Los Angeles, California, whose musical influences are found in genres such as bolero, folk, cumbia, ranchero, norteño, jazz, among others; and a unique style that gives shine to their music. Formed by La Marisoul (vocals), Pepe Carlos (guitar and accordion), Alex Bendaña (bass) and Miguel Ramírez (percussions), their talent has led them to be Grammy award winners in 2014. With more than 100 presentations during 2022 and 2023, La Santa Cecilia has gained great recognition by participating in international festivals such as the Cervantino International Festival in 2016 and 2023. As well as important festivals in Mexico such as Tecate Pa'l Norte and Vive Latino. In addition to performing in emblematic venues in the United States and Mexico. Their talent has led them to tour other countries such as Spain and Brazil, spreading their musical culture to other cultures. ABOUT ALMA BOHEMIA It's been 15 years since we started this journey together as La Santa Cecilia. We wanted to celebrate our quinceañera doing what we love most: singing, playing, drinking, and sharing with good friends. We returned to the songs that made us musicians. The boleros, the rancheras, those of Juanga and José Alfredo. We return to the songs that we enjoy singing when we are at home with family or in the bohemia among friends. We embarked on living an experience and taking musical portraits. Moments captured in the warmth of fire and good mezcal. When the feeling of a memory or a song overtakes us. Cuatro Copas is a celebration of life and a reflection of our friendship. The fire of music continues to burn in our hearts, and that blessing is worth celebrating!! May bohemia never die!! Join us for a special screening of our documentary "Alma Bohemia" at the GRAMMY Museum on April 3rd at 7 PM. After the film, stick around for a Q&A hosted by Sebastian Krys, the producer behind our album. It's gonna be a chill night celebrating music, memories, and good vibes. Don't miss out – see you there! ¡Nos vemos allí!🎶✨   Member Check - In: 6:00pm Nonmember Check - In / Doors: 6:30pm Show Time: 7:00pm American Express® Card Members can purchase tickets from Thu 2/29 10:30AM through Sat 3/2 11AM.    TICKET POLICY The holder of this ticket is granted admission to the indicated facility for the purpose of viewing the specified event. La Santa Cecilia Biography

La Santa Cecilia exemplifies the modern-day creative hybrid of Latin culture, rock and world music. The group draws inspiration from all over the world, utilizing Pan-American rhythms including cumbia, bossa-nova, rumba, bolero, tango, jazz and klezmer music. Their unique sounds and the experience of their colorful, passionate performances continues to captivate both loyal fans and new listeners.

Named after the patron saint of music, La Santa Cecilia is composed of accordionist and requinto player Jose ‘Pepe’ Carlos, bassist Alex Bendaña, percussionist Miguel ‘Oso’ Ramirez, and vocalist ‘La Marisoul’.

With a captivating voice that sings about love, loss, and everyday struggles, the band has become the voice of a new bicultural generation in the United States, fully immersed in modern music, but always close to their Latin American influences and Mexican heritage.

La Santa Cecilia started their career by serenading passers-by on the corners of downtown Los Angeles’ famed Olvera Street. They are a musical phenomenon that has toured from coast to coast, collaborated with Elvis Costello, Bunbury, Fito Paez, appeared on Conan, and most recently shared the stage with Pepe Aguilar and Led Zeppelin’s John Paul Jones.
