Supertaste Biography
Since their second EP, ‘Super Classic,’ Supertaste have been honing in their sound. In a world where digital production possibilities feel endless and overwhelming, they’ve decided to focus in and expand on their live ensemble, instrumentation, and performance.
Once again, the band set off for the mountains of Western Tennessee to dive into writing and recording new material, subsidized by good food, wine, views, and friends. What ensued was a body of work unlike anything they’d made.
‘The Richest Form of Communication’ is an EP focused on diving deeper. It is both emotive and simple, both lush and stripped back, both danceworthy and chillworthy. A look into how we make ourselves and our feelings known to those we share special moments with. This music is made for enjoyment under the warm glow of a disco ball with friends and lovers.
Written with the sole purpose of answering one question: If Disco, Funk, and Pop had a lovechild in the form of a breakfast sandwich, what would it taste like?
Whether or not they succeeded in answering that question is beside the point. The point is, and always will be: damnit, they tried.
