AJ McLean Biography
Best known as 1/5 of the hugely popular boy band Backstreet Boys, AJ McLean is a singer/songwriter and dancer, known for his soulful, pop, rock, and R&B-influenced style. McLean initially rose to fame with the Backstreet Boys in the late '90s. With countless #1s, record-setting tours, numerous awards and worldwide sales in excess of 180 million, the Backstreet Boys have been recognized as the best-selling boy band in history.
Born in West Palm Beach, Florida, in 1978, AJ McLean's journey into the performing arts started early, with a focus on dance and an acting debut at age eight in the 1986 film Truth or Dare. His career expanded with roles in Nickelodeon shows like Welcome Freshman and Hi Honey, I'm Home! As an original Backstreet Boys member since 1992, he contributed to all their albums, including chart-toppers like Millennium (1999), Black & Blue (2000), and DNA (2019). Apart from the group, McLean, occasionally known as Johnny No Name, embarked on a solo career, releasing the debut album Have It All in 2010. This marked the beginning of a diverse musical journey, including the release of tracks such as "Back Porch Bottle Service" (2018) and "Boy and a Man" (2019) from his country-influenced sophomore album, Long Road.
A multiple award winning and Grammy-nominated performer, AJ has become one of pop’s most influential performers. Now the time has come to experience Alexander James, a pop prodigy making a name for himself solo.
