We've lined up a stellar roster of your fave local artists and some exciting new talents breezing through town!This week Foggy Notion, Matt Bourke and the Delusional Drunks and The Noise are stopping by for a show. Originally formed in 2016, Maxine Fink and Shyam Carroll moved to Melbourne with the intent to form the best band they could scrape together in the big city. The result is a unique group now known for their driving rhythms, high energy live shows, blunt lyricism and country image.“Bourke is a captivating performer, justifying their reputation as an unmissable live band.One of the tightest sets of blues-punk I’ve ever seen, balancing barely-contained mayhem with outrageously skilled musicianship.” - Trouble Juice. Drawing inspiration from artists such as The Drones, Grinderman and many of the old blues greats, Matt Bourke has created his own blend of dirty, blues-driven rock & roll. The Delusional Drunks bring a raw and uncontrollable energy to the stage, whilst still remaining as a tight-knit workhorse, working towards building a wall of organised chaos.The Noise are an alternative rock band from the inner Northern suburbs of Melbourne. The four piece released debut singles “Cure Your Pain” and “I Want You” in November of 2023 and have kicked off 2024 in the studio with new music on the horizon.Social Sanctuary is proud to be sponsored by Mountain Goat.Our show is being held on the lands of the Wurundjeri People and we wish to acknowledge them as the Traditional Owners of this land we are gathered on.
