Feral Vices Biography

"Feral Vices, a guitar-and-drum alt-rock duo from Louisville, make catchy, Spotify-ready rock anthems underlined with fist-pumping grooves and more than a fair share of tackle-box hooks." - Justin Vellucci Spectrum Culture

"A sludgy and anthemic rocker a la Highly Suspect, Arctic Monkeys and Queens of the Stone Age, “Eat Me Alive” drips with raw emotion, visceral energy, and nineties nostalgia." -Icon Vs. Icon All Things Pop-Culture
“A seriously big sound from a two-piece, with great guitar riffs and killer drum beats.” -From The Strait

“If you’re craving a raw, stripped-down, pure rock sound, Feral Vices is what you need. Their sound is straightforward, in your face, and no fluff!!” -Substream Magazine

”With a pared-down approach, “Lay Down” delivers monster riffs and pounding drums. Feral Vices take Black Keys vibes and get gritty and danceable in the most pleasantly surprising way. Tune-up your air guitar and rock out to this garage band banger.” - idobi Radio

Created on accident after the crumbling of two different bands, the two friends behind Feral Vices, Alexander Hoagland and Justin Cottner, had a newfound vigor and drive. With the simple goal of making music that the two of them would want to listen to, Feral Vices was allowed the freedom to be whatever they wanted it to be and found its comfortable place in the conversation of other two-piece bands like Royal Blood and Death from Above 1979 while bringing in influences not found in those bands like the Jesus Lizard and Refused.

Not content with simply being another two-piece rock band, Feral Vices constantly strives to break the mold while providing riffs you can bang your head to and melodies you can sing along with.
