Bringing the noise firmly back in 2024, Australian behemoths ALPHA WOLF will embark on an Australian headline tour this August. Named for and celebrating their upcoming new album Half Living Things, the Half Living Things Australian Tour will continue the band's explosive run of live shows of late along with some special international guests, including Ohio metalcore stalwarts THE DEVIL WEARS PRADA, Texan metalcore trailblazers INVENT ANIMATE and Swedish modern heavy wielders THROWN rounding out this formidable lineup.Never ones to do anything by halves, ALPHA WOLF have relentlessly sharpened their trademark intensity against the odds over the years, from releasing their critically-acclaimed sophomore album A Quiet Place To Die amid the pandemic in 2020, to releasing a split EP, The Lost & The Longing, with Welsh rockers Holding Absence in 2022, and, as of 2024, ferociously approaching their third full-length album Half Living Things, due out on Friday 5 April via Greyscale Records and SharpTone Records.TICKET DETAILSDo not attend if you are feeling unwell.Photo ID is essential, acceptable ID is a current and valid Australian Photo Drivers Licence, State Approved ‘Proof of Age’ card or Passport. Alpha Wolf never disappoints with their outstanding performances. Each show is a testament to their exceptional talent and unwavering dedication, with every musician perfectly in tune with their instrument.
Scottie, Sabian, and John on guitar form a trio that is not only harmoniously synchronised but also radiates an infectious sense of fun. Their chemistry on stage is palpable, making every performance an exhilarating experience.
Mitch on drums continues to be an undeniable highlight. I’ve said it before and I'll say it again: he is the very best drummer Australia has to offer. His playing is marked by a rare combination of passion, strength, and clarity that resonates deeply with the audience, making each beat feel both powerful and intimate.
The shared vocals between John and Lochie are particularly noteworthy. It’s amazing to see John's vocals becoming more prominent in the newer tracks, adding a fresh and dynamic element to the band's sound. Lochie, too, is nearing perfection with his vocal performance, bringing an edge that enhances the band's overall impact.
What’s truly beautiful is witnessing a band that knows exactly what they stand for and never backing down from it. Their commitment to their sound and values is evident in every note they play and every lyric they sing.
As a long-time fan, it’s incredibly rewarding to see Alpha Wolf’s journey and their well-deserved success on an international scale. Their growth and the positive reception they receive from fans around the world are truly heartening.
