Thursday, April 18thDoors: 7pm / Show: 8pm$17 in advance / $22 day of the show21+MAK NOVA AND THE HOMIESMak Nova aka Mak Daddie The Prince, is not your average rapper. She is a true poet, a mystic. Her live and recorded music are often coupled with the words novel, hypnotic, and unconventional. She is a sensual, alluring, queer icon. The Homies is one of Mak Novas backing bands. Its composed of a rotating group of phenomenal musicians from the Santa Cruz and Bay Area. Her live act is described as a Groovy Hip-Hop, Afro-Funk Dance Party. WASABIWasabi was founded in 1998 in Arcata CA. Originally the band consisted of the Work Brothers Ron and Alex on guitars and drums and bass player Matt Robinson. In 2000 the band moved to Santa Cruz CA. Around 2001 the band expanded to include keyboardist Mike Emerson. In 2005 Matt Robinson moved to Sacramento CA to help start the Jazz Studies Program at Sacramento State College and Mike Emerson moved on to a long continuous career as a touring keys player and is currently playing with the Tommy Castro Band.In 2005 the stars aligned and local Santa Cruz bass wunderkind Dan Robbins joined the Brothers Work on their musical quest.Wasabi has shared the stage with lots of great artists and bands such as: Maceo Parker, Lee Scratch Perry, Trey Gunn Band, Jacob Fred Jazz Odyssey, Robert Walters 20th Congress, Karl Densons Tiny Universe, Bunny Wailer, Rockin Teenage Combo, The Living Daylights and Dick Dale.

His Recent Rmx with Sugar Hill on 'Feeling For You' reached at Number 11 all Beatport Main Chart.He got big Support by Fedde Le Grand,Edx and more!!
His coproductions with Sugar Hill has reached at BEATPORT'S TOP 100 Number 60
and Beatport's Nu Disco Chart Number 4.
Also : 'Holiday ' has reached at Number 13th of Nu Disco Beatport
Chart and it still remains in the charts for Over a month now!! His New Vinyl got the 6th place at Buzz Chart at Deejay.de
Beatport has featured his Beatport Charts and it has hosted his music in the front
pages!!
