About this concert
Ted Milton - poet, puppeteer and musician - founded Blurt in the late 70s. Their music is not definable and that is a good thing, although it veers towards freer jazz in many references (also a good thing). Blurt's first single 'My Mother Was a Friend of an Enemy of the People' (1982 Blackhill records) was followed by the live album 'In Berlin (1981 Armagedon). Since then mpre than 20 recordings have followed including vinyl albums, EPs, and CDs. They are still touring and have a new album 'Bomb' out on Salamander Records.

Blurt Biography

There are two bands by the name of Blurt:

1) Formed in 1979 by brothers Ted and Jake Milton with guitarist Peter Creese. The band made their recording debut on Factory Records, but released albums on many different labels troughout their thirty-year career. Over the years Ted Milton has kept the band going with several line-up changes, but maintaining the idiosyncrasy and originalty that has marked the Blurt sound from the very beginning.
Blurt, having a very strong live reputation, still undertake annual tours and a new vinyl single, "Cut It" b/w "Hat" has just been released by Orchestra Pit Recordings.
