Chancla Fight Club Biography
Chancla Fight Club is an Austin, TX-based dark pop/alt-rock/post-rock band comprised of vocalist/flutist Ashley Dawson, guitarist Cole Pestana, bassist Mark Ghastine and drummer Justin Dear. Chancla Fight Club uses unique instruments such as flute and omnichord in a post-rock setting. With lyrics that tell a dark story and intricate instrumentation, Chancla Fight Club creates an alternate world for listeners to get lost in. After completing their first national tour, Chancla Fight Club shared the stage with acts including State Champs, Between You and Me, Hunny, Arrows in Action, and Titus. With 6 released singles, the band is working on their first full-length album, with a projected release date in 2023.
PRESS
“While Chancla Fight Club is reminiscent of the grunge bands of the 90s, they set themselves apart through their consistently current and unique production style. “Monster” features a flute solo that is cleverly accompanied by the incorporation of synth and keys.” - Glasse Factory
“As much as I wish I could just judge a band off their music alone, I think personality is an appealing part of something in a world of musicians that either takes itself too seriously or not serious enough. These guys seem like they’re being themselves, and I like that.” - Hidden Home Records
