Greywolf Run

Greywolf Run is a Quintet based in northeastern Wisconsin.

The band’s early roots can be traced back to 1994 when brothers Adam James and Ace Heindel began playing together in the fox valley metal scene as the band “Nightzreign”. Along with drummer, Patrick Wydeven, the brothers wrote, recorded, and performed their music in all ends of Wisconsin. Nightzreign recorded and released the album “Once Upon a Perfect World in 1995.

Since the inception, the brothers have always gravitated toward creating original music, while still appreciating the joy of covering some of their favorite artist’s work. In it’s current state, Greywolf Run is much wider pallet of genres than before. Although music doesn’t always conform to fit neatly in a box, Greywolf Run’s music is a blend of rock, indie, alternative, blues, and americana.

The band’s current line up features Adam James on guitars, Vocalist Matt Heindel, Percussionist Jesse Lee Paremski, Peter Carlson on many instruments, and Ace Heindel on Bass Guitar. Each musician contributes greatly to the musical creation process.

Greywolf Run released their debut album, “Echo Valley” in 2020. Echo Valley is a collection of six songs based on real life experiences. The album was recorded at Honeytone Studios in Neenah Wisconsin on two cold January days.

The second album, “Blue Head Gold Heart” was recorded over several months in 2021. It was recorded and mixed 100% in house by the band. The process of recording this album was very different than the first, as much of it was done during the onset of Covid-19, and often not as a full band during the sessions. It is a much different feel than the first album based on the circumstances it was written and recorded under.

Recording of a third album, “Boiled Owl” is underway now. The first single “Cities” has been released to all streaming platforms. This album is again written by the band and is being recorded, mixed, and mastered, in the bands retreat studio in Shawano Wisconsin.

The band prides itself in being a bit of a chameleon in that it can play soft acoustic versions, up to screaming hard electric versions, of the same set list. This is a great benefit that allows the band to tailor the performance to the venue’s and intended audience’s desires.
