Solár Biography
Solár is a Stockholm-based post-rock band known for their atmospheric and progressive sound. The band was formed in 2018 with the goal of creating music that expresses their artistic vision, free from commercial expectations.
Their music is characterized by exploratory compositions that take the listener on a journey of the mind. The band draws inspiration from a diverse range of influences like film scores to bands including GY!BE, Swans, and Pink Floyd. Their sound is grand and expansive, incorporating dynamic drums, ethereal guitars, and a lot of feedback.
In 2022, Solár released their acclaimed album, Atlas, which was named the best instrumental album of the year. The album which is “almost like a soundtrack for the apocalypse that is yet to come” showcases the band's mastery of their craft, as they skillfully navigate the intricacies of their genre while maintaining a cohesive and immersive atmosphere throughout.
