Loveth Besamoh

Loveth Besamoh is a 23-year-old producer and songwriter from Rotterdam with roots in Cameroon, where he played percussion in church and at a boarding school. His music moves between new wave and krautpunk and a fusion of genres, including electronica, shoe gaze, afro rock, jazz, post-punk and soul, combined with rhythms he listened to and played in church.

He strives to maintain his origins in all his songs and easily bends genres into his own psychedelic sound. Loveth Besamoh started as a solo project and released a handful of singles and an EP, but for his live escapades he put together a four-piece band. His music is incredibly dynamic, ranging from songs reminiscent of King Krule to Death Grips. The band's live performances are very energetic, as seen at Popronde, Eendrachts Festival and North Sea Round Town. One thing is certain, Loveth is a creative force that cannot be pigeonholed.
