About this concert
2024 will mark the 15th year of the highly successful, hit-filled summer package, THE “HAPPY TOGETHER” TOUR. The touring sensation that has crisscrossed the nation delighting audiences for over a decade returns this summer with a show full of chart-topping hits from the ‘60s and ‘70s – an undeniable 61 Billboard Top 40 smashes. The Tour is once again joined by THE TURTLES, who also act as musical hosts for the evening. Along with THE TURTLES will be THE BUCKINGHAMS, THE ASSOCIATION, BADFINGER, THE VOGUES and the COWSILLS. THE TURTLES are best known for their harmony-heavy California pop sound. With hits including “Elenore,” “She’d Rather Be With Me,” “It Ain’t Me Babe,” “You Showed Me” and the title of the tour, “Happy Together,” the band ruled the airwaves in the late ‘60s. Ron Dante joins the line-up to delight with his own mega-hits, “Sugar Sugar” and “Tracy.” THE BUCKINGHAMS were formed in 1966, and went on to become one of the top selling acts of late 1960s, including their No. 1 hit “Kind of a Drag,” and other hits “Don’t You Care,” ”Mercy, Mercy, Mercy” and "Hey Baby, They're Playing Our Song." With three chart hits at one time on two labels in 1967, Billboard Magazine named them "The Most Listened to Band in America." THE ASSOCIATION, who enjoyed massive radio success in the ‘60s with No. 1 hits such as “Cherish,” “Windy” and “Never My Love” were a staple on the radio airways. THE VOGUES are known for their harmony-driven soaring pop sound. They had numerous Top 10 hits with singles such as “Five O’clock World”, “You’re The One,” “My Special Angel” and “Turn Around Look At Me,” among others. From their legendary lineup, Joey Molland continues the unforgettable legacy of BADFINGER. One of the original signings to the Beatles’ Apple Records label, they had their first hit single with a Paul McCartney-penned song, "Come and Get It,” which went to No. 7 in the U.S. charts. BADFINGER followed this with their own compositions "No Matter What,” “Day After Day" (produced by George Harrison) and "Baby Blue,” which went to No. 8, No. 4 and No. 14 respectively. THE COWSILLS, the harmonious singing family (two brothers and a sister) that inspired the smash ‘60s hit television show, "The Partridge Family," are sure to delight with their best-known songs,“Hair,” “Indian Lake,” “The Rain The Park & Other Things (I Love The Flower Girl)” and more.

The Buckinghams Biography

In 1967, five kids from the west side of Chicago had a huge hit on their hands with the recording of "Kind Of A Drag". Soon the pop song reached #1 on the charts and the group named after the famous fountain in Chicago's Grant Park were making appearances on the top TV shows like Ed Sullivan, American Bandstand, and The Smothers Brothers Comedy Hour. While The Buckinghams never produced another #1 hit, their blend of good old fashioned rock-n-roll makes them an attraction to this day.

The Buckinghams have performed across the country to capacity crowds with other artists of similar stature like The Turtles, Tommy James and the Shondells, Gary Puckett and The Union Gap, along with The Grass Roots.

The Buckinghams sang the national anthem at Comiskey Park before game one of the American Baseball League playoffs in 2004.
